A passion for golf.
A desire to share it.
SimuGolf brings together a passionate golfer, an American simulation game and printing expertise, with one goal: to make the game more accessible to golf enthusiasts across Europe.
It all started as a customer.
I have been passionate about golf for around thirty years. As a golfer myself, with a lifelong connection to board games, I discovered ASG Golf and was won over by its realism.
I loved bringing golf’s fascinating decisions to the tabletop: reading the course, choosing a club, taking a risk or playing safe to set up the next shot.
But as I placed orders with the game’s American creators, one problem kept coming up: shipping costs to Europe.
My printing business opened up an opportunity.
As I own a printing business, I offered to print the components for my own orders. It was a practical solution to a problem I knew first-hand as a customer.
Our conversations then went further. They told me about the challenges of serving their European customers, so I proposed taking on a licence to produce and sell the game for the European market.
This led to SimuSports: a project to bring ASG games closer to European players, drawing on my printing business and my knowledge of the game.
ASG, SimuSports, SimuGolf: who does what?
ASG
The American creators of the golf game. Their work on the simulation inspired me to introduce it to players in Europe.
SimuSports
The venture I created to bring ASG Games to the European market. It covers several sports, including golf, Formula 1, basketball and baseball.
SimuGolf
The SimuSports website dedicated to golf. Each sport is intended to have its own website under the wider brand: SimuGolf, SimuF1 and more.
From the golf course to the tabletop.
With SimuGolf, I want to share what drew me to the game: courses to analyse, golfers with different abilities and decisions to make on every shot.
This adventure brings together two longstanding passions: golf and board games. It gives them a shared home, along with the pleasure of introducing others to a simulation I enjoy playing myself.
